The missing file - SAM01B6.xml - you can find in cvs repository:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/ddccontrol/ddccontrol-db/db/monitor/

Copy this file to /usr/share/ddccontrol-db/monitor/ and you will be able
to control your monitor with ddccontrol. If you are looking for more
options, you can test my files prepared for Samsung 770P:

Options.xml should replace /usr/share/ddccontrol-db/options.xml
