I also don't like it very much, but, as Oleg said, I'm lacking of time
to work on it, despite I have a lot of ideas about what I would like to
see in it.

I would be pleased to help you if you want to improve gddccontrol, or
start a new GUI, but I don't think it is necessary to start a new one.
