The 90% Rule

Trying to be everything to everyone results in being useless to anyone.

So the aim of DBvolution is to try and cover 90% of your daily queries with a fast and easy development tool. The 10% remaining is supported where possible, @DBSelectQuery is an example, but is also passed to the DBA to be fixed with a view or script.

The original 90% has expanded to cover 99% of my original aim, so now I refer to the 1%.

The 90% rule is now
90% of your daily app queries should be trivial,
9% is covered by a slightly harder framework,
and the inevitable 1% is left to the DBA.

As DBV continues the 100% percent will cover a larger and larger area, but we will continue to the focus on making the 90% trivial.
