Hello,
I need to package dbus-cxx for Ubuntu (as a non-official package) so that I
can use it with my future project without much hassle.
The problem is that the SONAME doesn't seem to be bumped when API changes.
In configure.in,  I see that LIBTOOL_SO_VERSION=0:0:0 but the API changed a
couple times.

It would helpful to be able to rely on the SONAME, and would also help linux
distributions integrate this library into their repositories.
