Hi All, In the hope of keeping the 3.x discussions rolling, here are some points I am still not sure about (probably because I haven’t been following the mailing list for quite a number of months, apologies if all this has already been discussed): - With our new platform being on codehaus, are we planning on leaving the 2.x devs on sourceforge, and 3.x on codehaus, or are we moving the whole project entirely? Also, what about the Wiki? Are we moving away from wikidot to bring everything into the haus confluence? Having done the original move to wikidot, I can actually get the stuff across to confluence if you guys are happy with that. - Should we copy the current SF trunk into codehaus to get a code base to start devs with? Roberto, I know you want to go through a re-design, but I think we should actually start with something, and preferably with the existing code. Are we working on a branch, on trunk, etc.? - Any comment on the Roadmap/Wishlist (http://docs.codehaus.org/display/DBUNIT/WishList)? I think priorities should be to move to Java 1.5 (annotations), and get rid of the uppercasing/ index out of bounds issues once and for all... - Regarding the outstanding patches, I think they should go straight into the new 3.x branch/trunk, as some of them only compile with 1.5. However, we need to resolve the above questions regarding where the code sits, and what starting point we choose. Have we discussed what we should be doing with them and the outstanding issues? Are we also moving tickets across to Jira (I can look into that too if you want)? - I’d also like to move all devs discussions to the codehaus mailing list if possible. I guess to summarize, I’d like to clarify where we stand with regards to project hosting: we’re in between SF and codehaus, and that’s confusing. We really must decide where we want to go! Again, I may have missed some crucial exchanges, having been offline for a while, so feel free to point me to previous threads if needed. And now off to see Ireland hammer Italy (hopefully)!! ;) Thanks, Seb |
