Hi;
Looking for any upcoming updates to dbms2sde
executable mainly to optimize how the spatial table can
be created - or any tips to do this.
Data that we collect has to go through an VB application
that preprocessing the data and then the batch file
launches the executable, so a temp file is populated and
then records are added in the ArcSDE 8.2 spatial
table.
As data is continually being received, and the spatial
table needs to be populated near real time,
preprocessing of a certain number of records followed by
the dbms2sde occurs on a cycle/time delay to avoid
table locking. This is set to two minutes (increased
from one minute). If we increase this delay (ideallywe
want to go back to one minute), that means the data is
older than it should be when staff access it through
ESRI's ArcIMS web mapping server application.
Is it possible to obtain the source file referrred to in the
dbms2sde documentation so that we could do recomplie
the executable?
Any help you could offer would be much appreciated -
this is an important part of our data processing.
With ArcSDE v 9x - are you planning a new release?
