Problems during making

    Hello together,

first of all I want to thank you. Great job, what you've done! I'm only a hobby programmer, but my favorites are Firebird and Perl - so you are the perfect link in the chain.

    Now my problem:

I've downloaded version 0.42 and I want to use it with

    - Firebird Version "LI-T1.5.0.3737 Firebird 1.5 RC4"
    - Suse Linux Version 8.2
    - Kernel 2.4.20-4GB
    - Perl Version is 5.8.0
    - DBI 1.32
    - gcc version 3.3

During "make test" I get the following results:

    PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /usr/bin/perl "-MExtUtils::Command::MM" "-e" "test_harness(0, 'blib/lib', 'blib/arch')" t/*.t

Can you tell me, what are urgent problems and what not?

The reason for my mail is: when I use the 0.42, I get very often a segmentation fault in my Perl programs.

When I put more print's into my Program (for debugging), it's getting more and more stable. I'm absolutely confused.

    Do you have an idea?

    Thanks in advance

    Christian

      Hello again,

just an addition: I switched to Version 0.41-fb15 and during test I get similar results, but I don't get any segmentation faults in my Perl programs.

      Any hints?

      Regards

      Christian

Try specify ib_charset=ISO8859_1 (or whatever charset you use) in t/test.conf, and run `make test` again.
