Dear all, FYI we are planning to make a release of the DBE Studio in the coming weeks. If you have any changes you want included, please commit your code and increase the version number of your plugin(s). As the formal DBE Consortium no longer exists, we have updated the DBE Studio Software User Agreement as attached to explicitly list all partners contributing source code. Any concerns or questions, please let us know. Best, - John. |

Dear developers, As you probably know the preliminary feedback from the reviewers on computing was very positive.Paul noted some quotes: we made substantial consolidation, and this was remarkable for 3 year project.so, congratulations to all involved! The reviewers did note one open item on the third day - they wanted the table that explains who owns what and what license is it published under to be updated. I believe Andrea is working on this. Also, as the DBE Consortium no longer exists we need to remove that expression from the DBE Studio Software User Agreement. We might replace it with a list of all partners that have contributed, or an expression like "DBE Studio partners" if that is legally acceptable.I have asked our OS legal contact for their advice. FYI, currently our list of partners that have contributed source code to the DBE Studio is: Intel Technical University of Crete Soluta.net Trinity College Dublin Waterford Institute of Technology University of Central England FZI (Forschungszentrum Informatik) University of Surrey When the SUA question is resolved we will issue a new release. This is an opportunity to get any recent bug fixes etc. released so please commit your improvements to CVS if they are not already there (don't forget to increment version numbers for updated plugins). We'll keep you posted. Thanks and regards, - John. |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear all, We have received a notice from sourceforge stating that our web space quota was 100000 kB, and that we were using up to 212688 kB. I have done what I could to delete all unuseful data, but we are still on 108568kB. I'd need you to take a look at the jars available on the swallow's maven site, and tell me what can be safely deleted (maybe they were old dependencies that are not needed anymore) so we can be below quota. If in the end everything proves to be useful, I'd ask for a quota extension, though I have never done that before, and I don't know what the limitations/requirements might be. Thanks to all in advance. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFFx3VSnSvWvzj7/wYRAuviAKC0OTNo40NvKsqFbX2kLNVJrwhzAwCdGqoY 1bS5WhCfh9cpMS1/3C7k7+8= =Fezk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Dear Developers, =20 As part of our contribution to UI improvements within the DBE Studio, we have created some new file and wizard icons. These icons have a common look and feel and should improve the overall UI presentation of the DBE Studio. To avoid making extra work for most of you and if there are no objections, then I will add the icons to cvs myself and include them in the next release.=20 =20 Best regards, David. =20 David McKitterick DBE Studio Administrator |

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Dear all: This is to inform you that release 0.3.9 of the ExE has been released today. I regret the delay in the foreseen release of this version. We had to fix a CVS synchronization problem that involved two parallel branches with changes on the same files. The fix required manual tracking of changes on the (luckily small) set of files, but took its time nonetheless. This condition has been fixed and the results tested, so I hope the actual release will satisfy all partners involved. For developers, 0.3.9 jar files of the servent have been uploaded to the swallow's maven repository (I didn't forget this time!!!) Hi. The DHT component is as you know implemented. However, the integration into the ant installer is still missing. This little task will be completed by the end of this week. The Filter for the identity management compiles with the changes that were introduced by SUN. I still need to test it, though. Hi Bob. Regarding the DSS, DHT integration is the final remaining piece. I met with Dominik last week and we verified DHT operation on Windows and confirmed how the components can integrate. It requires a (relatively straightforward) DSS Indexing Overlay of the DHT to be created. My priority is finishing the deliverable documentation - this is being finalised at the moment. Once that is complete, the final integration will be done. Once it is ready and tested I was planning to work on getting the DSS integrated into the ExE installer...the only external dependency is that it does not make sense to integrate the DSS before the DHT is integrated. I am not aware of any code changes required in the Servent to accommodate the DSS, and regarding install scripts / servent property files I will coordinate with you (and/or Juanjo) before making any alterations. Talk soon, - John. -----Original Message----- From: swa...@li... Hi all, I think it is a good idea if we all get feedback of the status of the components. As far as I know, there were some tasks to do in the ExE: - Fix SDL parser in the servent (name of parameters) (SUN) - DHT component (TCD) - Distributed Identity (TCD) - DSS (Intel) - EvE (Claudios with Intel?) ServENT Status: -------------- - We think we have fixed the problem and we are waiting for the confirmation of WIT. - We have also be in touch with Dominik and we have already done changes in filters that allow their integration with CoreComponents. We are waiting for confirmation too. - If everithing is OK, we think our tasks are have already done. - We will follow fixing minor bugs that are not related with integration of components. Can you correct me if necessary and reply with the status of your components?
