Eight of ten people have a KB connection problem when
trying to connect DBEStudio to a localhost ExE (all has
just installed from scratch). We have changed
connection to a Linux non laptop based ExE and it has
worked.
This is probably a problem with the Servent/ExE. Was there
any error log entries in Eclipse?
We have created a new connection manager plugin which the
BML Editor and other KB based plugins should use in the next
DBE Studio release. This plugin will give more detailed
information when a connection problem occurs with the ExE,
although if there are bugs in a Servent version then
unfortunately it is out of the DBE Studio team's control.

Is this bug still in effect? We have DBE Studio 1.0.1 on a local windows machine, and get this error message.
