Dell 4600 desktop. I have changed, in Boot Menu, to have the computer boot from CD. When booting, I keep getting f1 to retry boot or f2 to go to boot menu. Please help, as I am trying to donate this PC as soon as possible.

This solution has been posted numerous times. Go into BIOS and disable all boot options except for the CD Drive. Don't just rearrange the boot sequence. This will force the computer to boot from CD.

Scott, thanks for the fast response! Can you give me the DOS for Dummies version on how I would go about changing it in DOS please? It's been many, many years since I use to do everything in MS DOS.

I did not know it was possible to make changes in BIOS using DOS commands. I don't suggest it. While booting, press F2 repeatedly to go to the BIOS boot menu to make your changes.
