I burned latest version of DBAN download to a CD. My 2 year old Win7 computer will not recognize it as a bootable disk.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
Yeah this drove me nuts. Assuming you have already done the obvious - burned the disc correctly, changed the bios setting to boot from cd 1st, making sure your drive is functioning properly by booting from a back-up disc, etc, do the following. Go into bios and change the setting from UEFI secure boot to Legacy unsecured. Save changes and reboot. Worked for me after hours of trial and error and google searches - then again I'm not really a tech guy. Hope it works for you.
What make computer you have hit the book up keyS f12 for dell or F2 for others to show the bootable drives available
So once you hit F12 for the Dell it comes to options
2. Diskette Drive
3. Hard-Drive Drive C:
4 IDE CD-Rom Drive
5. System Setup
6. IDE Drive Diasgnostics
7. Boot to Utility Partition
I've tried all options and still can't get the disc to run
