I am not extremely computer savvy, so in retrospect I probably should not have ran DBAN, but now I have and I'm trying to make it work.

I have an HP Pavilion laptop that is a few years old. I ran DBAN and I am not trying to reboot it with an OS. The Windows disk is in the drive and it begins the process, but then the blue screen of death appears saying that "a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Can anyone help me figure out how to fix it? I have tried restarting the process a couple of times and the blue screen of death always appears.

    Thank you!

I meant to say that I am *now* trying to reboot it with an OS disk.

Did you do a quick erase? Are you specifying your computer to boot to a disk
