I'm getting the /dev/sda crash when I boot DBAN using PXE.  I think this is because the CDROM is empty and it isn't getting skipped because it isn't the boot device?  Is there a way to tell DBAN to skip the CDROM like there is with the floppy?  Or would there be another reason for this error with the PXE boot?

PXE boot is using the following options:
menu label Boot Boot-N-Nuke disk wipe program - 2.2.6
    kernel bootnuke/dban.bzi
    append load_ramdisk=1 root=/dev/ram0 init=/rc quiet nuke=”dwipe –autonuke –method dodshort”

I've set up many other boot disks to boot via our tftp server this way without issue.  That is why I'm suspecting there is something about the CDROM not being used and possibly being detected as a drive.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

I know this is a little old, but I had the same issue and was able to work around it by booting the .iso directly:

    LABEL DBAN226
MENU LABEL ^5) DBAN 2.2.6 Beta
    LINUX memdisk
    append iso raw
    INITRD dban.iso

    I hope this helps someone!
