installing on unix

    I am not a unix person, but i'm in a situation where I need to install apache\ php and the te on a unix box to complete my monitoring framework. I have an aix box with db2 9.5 on this is collecting data from a number of db2 servers.
    can anyone provide me with a real idiot guide of how to perform an install of apache\php on an aix box

    With some blind luck I just had to do one of these…

    First if your aix box had access to the internet then get wget from here:

    You can get pre compiled rpm package from the following site:

    All the needed dependencies are available on this site as well. I am sorry there are a number of dependent packages that you will need to download as well. I will post a list on Monday, as I do not have access to the system at this time. You can get the IBM_DB2 PHP driver from your db2 install (the 5.2.* 32bit driver will work).

    I will see what I can do about writing up some more detailed instruction next week.
