#556 CalDAV: Status 403 on initial PROPFIND for calendar

For quite some time I am unable to connect to my Exchange calendar using Thunderbird/Lightning.

As suggested in ticket #490 I tried to delete any occurences of my domain password. After doing so my problem remains:

Lightning does not ask for a password and DavMail shows no errors in its log.

On the other hand I can digg up two error messages in Thunderbird's log:

[calCachedCalendar] Performing playback operation add on 0 items to Exchange
[calCachedCalendar] Performing playback operation modify on 0 items to Exchange
[calCachedCalendar] Performing playback operation delete on 0 items to Exchange
[calCachedCalendar] Doing changelog based sync for calendar http://localhost:1080/users/andreas.pritschet@produktwelt.de/calendar/

CalDAV: Status 403 on initial PROPFIND for calendar Exchange

Most curiously the calendar URL is working fine; using Firefox I get suggested to download and open the calendar file.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

    Using Thunderbird 24.2, Lightning 2.6.4, DavMail 4.4.0-2198 on Xubuntu 12.04 64bit.

Could you please provide davmail.log file ?

Can you check content downloaded through Firefox ?

  • Andreas Pritschet

download of CalDav file using Firefox is working perfectly. The DavMail log is showing a lot of activity.

Thunderbird on the other hand produces log entries as above when trying to connect to the same URL, but davmail.log and the log viewer show absolutely no activity even when the log levels are set to "ALL".

Might this be an issue of Lightning/Thunderbird?

This is probably a Lightning issue, related to offline mode, you may try to reset cache (right click on calendar), or disable offline mode completely
