    Scott - 2007-08-31

    I have the following line in my fstab file:

    http://locahost:2667 /mnt/localhost-2667 davfs nolocks,noaskauth 0 0

    Mounting using "sudo mount /mnt/localhost-2667" always result in the following error:

    /sbin/mount.davfs: connection timed out two times;
    trying one last time
    /sbin/mount.davfs: server temporarily unreachable;
    mounting anyway

    However, I can view the location using a browser and mount it using the full mount command without problem:

    mount -t davfs http://localhost:2667 /mnt/localhost-2667 -o nolocks,noaskauth

    I'm using davfs 1.2.1 on Gutsy. I'm also able to reproduce this error on Fiesty.

    Any suggestions on how to proceed?

    Thanks,

      Hello Scott,

      > fstab broken?
      Yes.

      May be it will help to insert that small letter 'l' into
      http://locahost:2667
      so it would read
      http://localhost:2667

      Cheers
      Werner
