Resending the mail, just in case you have overlooked it ;-) Hi, > If you look at SQLQuery.buildOrderBy, you will see what's happening. The query > first adds an ORDER BY clause for each group. It needs to do that so the > records are grouped together. After adding those clauses, then it adds the > ORDER BY clauses that you added. > What are you trying to do? Why are you trying to erase the group ORDER BY clauses? I am doing the following to generate the Dynamic Report * I have a report template that would contain the required formulas embedded in it * I have an xml file in which I would have embedded the fields (DB columns), ORDER BY and GROUP BY clause, parameter fields in which the user can enter the values. * On this, I apply an XSL and give the display as a HTML page to the user. After the user enters selects the required fields, parameters, etc. I call the appropriate report template (which again comes as an input from the HTML page as a hidden variable) and using datavision and generate the report in the format the user chose * since, I am giving the option of selecting the ORDER BY clause to the user, I would like to generate the report based on the sorting order selected by him, which I am unable to do. I hope this would clarify my requirements.. Any suggestion as to how I should go about?
