DatalogDyno is a free open-source program that can measure the performance of a car using data available through the diagonstic port. The data is used by the program to produce an accurate plot of the acceleration, or g-force of your car. Along with the acceleration, the program is also capable of producing a power and torque graph similar to that produced by a real dyno. A new feature of DatalogDyno is to estimate the 400m time your car is capable of achieving. The estimate is calculated using a simple model for your car, along with the data recorded to produce the acceleration, power and torque plots. The DatalogDyno software supports Nissan's Consult port directly - it can both log the data by communicating with the ECU, and anaylse the data to produce the acceleration, power, and torque graphs. However, DatalogDyno (may) also support datalogs produced by other programs. The key ingredients being the datalog must contain a log of the RPM and TPS, other features also require Airflow Meter voltage, Oxygen sensor and Injector pulse width/duty cycle. If a datalog produced by a particular program doesn't work with DatalogDyno, email me and I will add it. There is a complete html user manual in the manual directory. Jason Kulk (jason.555@gmail.com)
