Davide, please try the matlab functions with octave. My guess is that most will work, but some might need modifications. Make sure to download the missing *.m files from http://databionic-esom.sourceforge.net/install.html. They will be included in an upcoming new version. The 3D pictures were rendered with a separate tool that is not included yet. I don't think anyone is working on this at the moment.
