I dont have an ZyXel modem but an 3Com OfficeConnect Business Modem 56K and when it looses the connection the Internet Connection application does not know it and although I click cancel it does not send hang command to modem and can not control the modem.
Sometimes switching on/off the modem the problem is fixed but usually if I do logout/restart I get the next kernel panic:

Now I can reproduce the panic in 10.1.5 in my iMac DV G3/400 512MB.
Do you now if your driver could help me?
Please, answer to am.uriarte@terral.es too.
