This is Holland Rhodes' patch from 1/22/2006. I've put
it here because attachments can't be downloaded from
the mail archives.
From Holland's post:
At any rate, short of booting Windows directly on the
new hardware, I was hoping to see Darwine running. It
seems we're still not quite there. I've written a
patch which will allow wine-0.9.6 to compile on the
new iMacs, and it runs. The Wine programs also run,
however actual Windows PEs don't. My patch is probably
NOT something that should be sent to Wine HQ. It
should be looked over by the Darwine group, and done
I'm attaching my patch in hopes that someone can do
what needs to be done in order to get it running
Windows apps on the new Intel Macs. If one of the
developers needs access to a shipping Intel based Mac,
I can provide a shell account on one of my iMacs to
further the development of Darwine.
