Hi DarwiinRemote developers,
I just posted on my blog about my recent use of DarwiinRemote:
As you can imagine, this has been great fun, but if you get to the
bottom of the post, I have two issues with version 0.5:
(1) Not all of the buttons on the Classic Controller seem to be
getting picked up. I'm running a PowerPC Mac Mini, so that may be my
problem since although the 0.5 release notes include support for the
Classic Controller, they also concede that PPC bugs may not be fixed.
I don't think they are (the bugs), but I'm guessing/hoping that you're
working on that.
(2) This is a bigger issue, and may be so big that it isn't worth your
time right now, but there's no way to configure two Wiimotes for
different keycodes so I can play the emulator two player, is there? It
looks like your software can tell which Wiimote (1 through 4) it is
receiving data from, but DarwiinRemote appears to run as a singleton,
so I can't get it listening to two Wiimotes right now. I'm not sure
how hard this would be to fix, or if it's on your roadmap, but I just
wanted to throw it out there since I would love to start using
Nestopia in 2-player mode :)
Again, thanks for making it so easy for me to play old NES games with a Wiimote!
