Thanks to your code, I've added support for the Wii remote to the Torque Game Engine. Check it out: http://www.robterrell.com/?p=11 The wiimote replaces mouse control for the first-person shooter.
I'll probably have to re-write all the code using some cross-platform abstractions, but thanks to your code, I was able to make this great proof of concept very quickly. Also, I've never called cocoa from carbon before, so that was a fun learning exercise.
send me something playable then =D (firstname.lastname@example.org)
The binary is at http://robterrell.com -- download and give it a try.
I downloaded your example of integrating the wiimote into the Torque Game Engine. I was impressed with the content that I saw. Very nice work!
How dificult would it be to use the nunchuk joystick for the movement instead of the "A" button?
I think that make things more fluid and natural.
I know that the joystick control is already in the framework so it should not be too hard...
is there any chance of wiimote/torque source code being posted?
I download this: http://www.robterrell.com/?p=16
but is only for intel.. :-(
Is there any chance to have it in UB?
Marcus -- adding joystick support today.
SpiderJeby -- will do. forgot about PPC. Check my website in a few days for the UB.
