Loading images only working when selecting subdirectories?

Just playing around with the latest release, and i have noticed I am unable to load a folder unless I select include "sub-directories"

I will attach a print-screen, but basically I am going to a folder full of cr2's unselecting "Include Sub-directories" hit load and nothing loads.

The folder doesn't have any sub-folders but if I select "Include Sub-directories" it then loads all the .cr2 files.
