daReport 0.6.0.4 has been released. This was a bit of a rush release after so much inactivity. I received a heap of bug and feature requests, so I thought I'll just release what I have done, and get cracking on new features and fixes.

Just ticked over 1000 downloads last week. Fairly cool for a small software project. It is almost at the stage of deploying in my company, so that will ramp up development once deployed as features (and maybe some bugs) will come rushing in.....

0.6.0.3 RC1 is out for evaluation.

Major features include:
* RepeatOnMultiplePages property (header and footer)
* Custom Editor for FormatMask property on columns
* Multiple selection of objects in designer
* Grouping Display properties for report output

If you use the totalPages system variable in any dynamic document objects, the first page will read as zero. (e.g: "Page 1 of 0 Pages")

This is a known bug in RC1 which will be fixed in RC2. If the fix is important, you can download the latest source from http://dareport.sourceforge.net/nightly/.

0.6.0.3 RC1 is out for evaluation.

With a bit of research I have built a custom UITypeEditor for the FormatMask property. It now launches a custom form where you can test drive FormatMasks based on data-type and a sample you provide.

*category attribute placed on the StyledTable class
-some bugfixes for text that can be confused as XML entities

Go to http://dareport.sourceforge.net/nightly/ for the latest bleeding edge source and binaries zip file. This has a new table writing engine and building on that, grouping is now working (for the confined tests I have given it).

Please download, thrash and submit any problems, suggestions. Go to http://dareport.sourceforge.net and there are links to the bugs database, suggestions database, etc.

I had some bugs in the 0.6.0.1 release, so I have fixed these and released the binaries and source again. They are also fixed in the nightly snapshot version.

It was only to do with the ReportTest application. There were no changes to the Designer or the DaReport assembly.

This is fairly basic at the moment. I have just completed basic c# documentation of the DaReport asssembly. My next doc task is to start implementing examples.

I have setup a task on the SourceForge servers which zips up a nightly build of the project. So you can grab this to get the latest bleeding edge source files. This will require .NET framework 1.1 and VS.Net 2003 to compile up the source. I will make some time to get make or/and nAnt files in there as well to compile the source.
