Hi Denis, sorry for getting back only now. It takes time to make a backup. I now tried to capture exit codes, which works with the other two backups. The one backup that seems to always get corrupted does not return any exit code (I have made preparation for the exit codes 0 to 11). Next time I'll just drop the -v option and redirect the output to a log file and will see if dar reports anything there. Since both other backups run through just fine, this puzzles me increasingly. I do not want to test the 2.5.9 version, since I do not want to disturb the package administration on my system. Maybe I find a safe way to try.
