#39 retention of whitespace characters as response to xml:space

Dear developers!
When using the DTBook to XHTML transformer it seems that any whitespace in text nodes above a single character is removed, even when xml:space="preserve" is present on the element.
An improvement would be to provide a checkbox in the gui for this transform that allows users to normalise whitespace in the text node, regardless of xml:space="preserve", or accept the attribute.
