    Hi Dragan,

In the tutorial of DAE Tool, you have given an example about how to call the physical property from ChemSep through CapeOpen 1.1. I think the DAE Tool should also be able to use the Hysys COM Thermo package, which also comforms to the CapeOpen 1.1 protocol. But I don't know the name of the package manager, and I have tried many possible names but none of them could be recognized by DAE Tool. Also, I am not sure what type of the Hysys physical property file should I export. Could you give me some suggestions? Thanks very much.

    Cheers,

    Hi,

I am not completely sure how to do it in particular for Hysis, but in general all thermo-physical property managers are registered as a COM component and have a list of package names, typically created using the vendor's GUI. There should be something in the Aspen documentation and also online. From what I could see there is the Fluid Package Manager and there you create and configure the new FluidPackag -: which property package (should be CAPE-OPEN 1.1 I guess), components etc. I am not sure about the TPP manager name registered. In the next version I can add a function to list available TPP managers.
    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
    Dragan

    Thank you, Dragan

I remember that I had seen the list of the property managers when I used Matlab Thermo Import long time ago. May I can try that again. By the way, I have another question. Is it possible to export Hessian matrix from DAE Tool? This should be important because many gradient-based optimizers , like SQP, need to use Hessian matrix.

    Cheers
