#119 1.11.43-51 - Program forgets water and lava surfaces


I've seen occasional levels where a surface that isn't explicitly water or lava is still labeled and acts as such (e.g. Level 9 of "The Enemy Within," with the mudslide detail on the way into the old station), but I'm not able to do something similar on the recent versions of DLE. The water textures still act as water without me having to check the "water" box on the segment tool, and the same applies to the lava textures, but I can't set another texture to act like water or lava. The program forgets on startup and it also doesn't apply when I test the level.

    The only ways to do this are to put an overlay texture on top of a water or lava texture, or to replace the water/lava textures with custom textures (you need to replace all animation frames of such textures).
