Hi, I've been running more profiling sessions on larger examples (e.g., complete mondex and xenon), which requires about 400-800MB of raw memory to run. Interestingly, running the VCG through mondex completely would crash the Eclipse environment (e.g., with 4-8GB maximum Java heap). Now it runs much more smoothly and it takes just a few seconds within the Eclipse environment - and quite quickly both on the command line and under the profiler. Bits that I am still puzzled about is the presence of various (list and normal) iterators in the "live" memory (see the snapshot attached). Still investigating.... |
