Will Cygnome be distributed through Cywgin's SETUP soon?
I mean I understand that it is possible to manually install Cygnome, but it would be a lot easier on users (and myself!) if Cygnome was an option that could be selected during Cygwin's installation.
Is there any plan to support that eventually?
CyGNOME already could be installed via Cygwin setup.
Try to add http://cygnome.sourceforge.net/install as 'Other URL' in your Cygwin setup. That's all.
Note that not all packages are available in the way due to space limit gaven by sf.net. The same to the source packages.
How, where ?
I use setup.exe v.2.340.2.5 but don't have this choice.
I install all packages, but have a problem with Default icons.
I have the icons in /opt/gnome/share/pixmaps/mc
but when I run gnome I receive error about missing icons.
After clicking on either "Install from Internet" or "Download from Internet" on the "Choose a Download Source", press next until you reach the "Choose a Download Site". There may be some other options that you will pick along the way. In the "User URL:" text box type in "http://cygnome.sourceforge.net/install" and press Add button. Make sure that "http://cygnome.sourceforge.net/install" is still selected and then press next button...
This is the longer version of what Hansom Young said above.
I hope this helps.
