Next release getting closer

Hello!

It has been ages since I posted anything or uploaded news stuff.
Have been busy doing other stuff than coding.

But now Im back on coding track again and here's the latest news:
CyberDragon 1.6.5 will be released on December, maybe the first week.

The first reason is that I want to wait till Qt folks release next version (Qt 5.4 final)
That should happen sometimes during 2nd of December so that I can compile CD 1.6.5 against it and see how it works.

I expect some long standing bugs to be fixed (like YouTube crash) and maybe even performance benefits. SVG font problem was already fixed in Qt 5.3 but I couldn't use that version because that contained YouTube crash bug.

The second reason is that I need some time to test new Server Info functionality that I plan for 1.6.5. It will add a new "Server Info" tab that shows details like Country, City, latitude & longitude and IP address of the server you are connecting.

So that way, if you encounter some fishy looking web site or are just curious you will get all those little info immediately and don't need any 3rd party tools for that. Also the general location of the server or at least the server ISP is shown on google maps in the same tab.

Because it's going to use MaxMind free GeoIP database to do it's stuff it's not 100% accurate but you can of course replace it with commercial version of database if you are their customer.

Here's a little screenshot of this feature in early testing stage:

Also, CD 1.6.5 will of course include all the previous patches & fixes that were released after 1.6.4 release.

Also web inspector will be enabled (so that you can view html page source and it's DOM tree) and web history exposed for your use. No bookmark stuff still, sorry.

Im still looking for help to get proxy checker stable. So if you haven't done so please download http://sourceforge.net/projects/cyberdragonbrowser/files/SimpleProxyChecker_src.zip/download
source code for Proxy Checker, check it out and then contact me if you have suggestions how to fix it, rewrite it, or questions about it.

Surf Safe!
