Can I ask (1) how the old bug looks like?
(2) Did you use the new termcap/terminfo files (one
of the post-5.2.3 enhancements)?

If the old bug is about screen layout, it is most-likely
due to (2). There weren't much difference between 5.2.2 and
5.2.3, other than removing a lot of compiler warnings/errors.
