On my linux box, vi (termcap) doesn't have this problem, but lynx (ncurses) does. ================================== vi --version elvis 2.1_4 lynx --version Lynx Version 2.8.4rel.1 (17 Jul 2001) libwww-FM 2.14, SSL-MM 1.4.1, OpenSSL 0.9.6c Built on linux-gnu Apr 15 2002 17:51:47 ================================= Now that's an interesting difference - if I remember correctly, cygwin ships vim for its vi clone. Also, lynx on my system doesn't exactly break - it is the *first* screen lynx draws which is of the wrong size; if you navigate, it seems to figure out the screen size afterwards. But the status stuff is still in the old (wrong) place. So it seems that the screen-refresh/screen-clear code is a bit broken. ho...@ya... wrote: > Hi, > > Both vi and lynx have the problem here. vi uses > termcap while lynx uses terminfo. > > >>What version of cygwin are you using?
