[cx-oracle-users] retrieving a single record from a stored function

Hello,

I have a stored function which returns a record with 2 columns. One column is a string and the other is a number.

I have successfully called stored functions which only return a number, but don't know the proper calling convention for Cursor.callfunc() when the returnType is a record. The docs make a statement that the notation is the same as for setinputsizes(). Naively, since the first argument to setinputsizes is *args, you could just list all the record args inline:

        result = curs.callfunc('our_stored_func_returning_a_record_of_2_args', cx.STRING, cx.NUMBER, [self.our.id])

But this failed with the message """function takes at most 3 arguments (4 given"""

So then I tried

        result = curs.callfunc('our_stored_func_returning_a_record_of_2_args', [cx.STRING, cx.NUMBER], [self.our.id])

But that fails with the error """number of elements must be an integer"""
