The "official" documentation is indeed reference material and not much
help when it comes to learning stuff. If you're looking for examples,
you can take a look at the cx_OracleTools project which contains a
number of utilities that aquire information from or manipulate data in
Oracle databases. The project is available at the same place that
cx_Oracle itself is. Here is the link in case you don't have it:
