Hi Everyone, In an effort to learn Python better as well as tie it in to my everyday work, I would like to find a suitable Python module for Oracle v9 databases that works under both Linux and AIX. The cx_Oracle module has a Windows installer that works well but the RPM's available are only for RH9. I tried building a new rpm for Fedora Core 3 but ran into problems with the SPEC file and the setup.py included in the source. The SPEC file is hard-coded to reference Python v2.2 and the setup.py =66ile does not have code in place to handle a sys.platform value of linux2. Does anyone know of a way to get cx_Oracle functioning on Fedora Core 3 and AIX=3F Any help you can provide on this would be greatly appreciated.
