[cx-oracle-users] oracle 10g support

Hi,

I'm working on advocating the use of Python for a large project at
work and something that could be a deal-breaker is whether there's
support for a direct (non-ODBC) connection to Oracle 10g. Could anyone
please tell me whether there are plans for a 10g version of cx-oracle?

Oracle 10g is definitely supported. I simply haven't provided binaries 
yet -- you'll have to build it yourself. I have only built cx_Oracle for 
10g on Linux (where it works just fine) but don't have access to a 
Windows box running Oracle 10g just yet. Does that answer your question?

It also builds and works fine on Mac OS X 10.3.
