This ticket is a mini tracker of the major issues remaining to be fixed on the 3.2 branch before it goes into maintenance mode.

Changes will then be merged back to 3.3 (which is the final "task todo" before 3.3 is ready).

Broken "alternative view" rendering in context-ui.php (when it interacts with XML visualisations
Misbehaviour of the "hits stack" in postprocesses involving rand/unrand after a Sort, resulting in the stack being one member short.
In database upgrade, any version number that is between two upgrade version points triggers a bug where the "next step" function cannot be found.
