Not dead, but certainly hibernating. Crude though it is in some ways, the current tool manages to scratch my itch about as much as I need at the moment. No one but me has ever shown much interest in my little project, so there's been very little pressure to keep it moving.
There are quite a view CVS visualization tools, and while none of them do exactly what CVSView does, many could probably be coerced into it if someone cared. Arguably the coolest thing about CVSView is the ability to color by commit login, and that wouldn't be _that_ hard to add to another tool.
If you have an interest in CVSView and there are particular features you'd like added, etc., etc., please let me know!
