#82 failure if directory names contains dots chars

If a directory in a module of the CVS repository,
contais a dot in it's name (for example: PLUTO.wrk )
the cvsmonitor hangs and cannot be restarted.
The problem is that the index.dat file in the
CVSMonitor_MetaData_0_6 directory get corrupted.
The only action to reenable cvsmonitor is to delete the
whole directory content and restart in Admin pages to
add repositories and modules again.
