I think it would be great to have a moderation process allowing a project manager to confirm/reject subscription requests coming from users.

In a repository which groups several modules owned by different people, access privileges on files are handled by group rights on directory, and so should be on the commit logs mails, sent only to authorized users.

What about adding it to the TODO list ?
