What is the version of gcc you are using?  We are using:

cvspd1rp1 # gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/2.95.3/specs
gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)

I've built this on Sol 8 and 9 without any problems, but I'm still waiting 
for my colleagues to test the new install for me, so I can't say whether 
it actually works or not.

If it's any use to anyone, I created a cvsacl-1.1.3 patch for cvs-1.11.17 
(typically, the day before 1.2.0 was released). It builds ok, but is 
untested functionally. Drop me a line if you wish to try it out.
