    I'm trying to mount a FTP (tried with and without .netrc) on FreeBSD 6.1 using:
    - fusefs-curlftpfs-0.9.1
    - curl-7.16.3

    I know there is an issue with libcurl (ie. previous thread), but I think my error is somewhat different. Here is the log, I changed the "secret" data obviously. The rest is genuine:

    dediclone# curlftpfs ftp://dedibackup2.dedibox.fr/ freeftp/ -v
    * About to connect() to dedibackup2.dedibox.fr port 21 (#0)
    *   Trying * connected
    * Connected to dedibackup2.dedibox.fr ( port 21 (#0)

    < Je backup ...
    < 220 Bienvenue sur Dedibackup 2 - Identifiez-vous
    > USER xxxxxx
    < 331 Mot de passe obligatoire
    > PASS xxxxxx
    < 230 Identifiants Dedibackup acceptes
    > PWD
    < 257 "/" est votre position actuelle
    * Entry path is '/'
    > SIZE (nil)
    < 550 Impossible de verifier l'existence du fichier
    > REST 0
    < 350 Recommence a 0
    * Connection #0 to host dedibackup2.dedibox.fr left intact
    fuse: failed to open fuse device: No such file or directory
    > QUIT
    < 221 A bientot
    * Closing connection #0

    I'm sorry for the french FTP replies, I have no way to change this (not my system).

    Any help/clues/advice welcome!

      Replying to myself:

      I found why it wouldn't work: the curlftpfs FreeBSD port doesn't include sysutils/fusefs-kmod as a needed dependency (R-dep).
      So after installing this port and issuing a "kldload /usr/local/modules/fuse.ko", it all works well!

      Hope this will help someone... :)
