as far as i understand your code, uploading doesn't happen before the file is released. this seems to be a problem with gui filemanagers, because progress bars don't work correctly, and users can't cancel big file uploads (because the whole upload happens in in one operation).
would it be technically possible to write files "chunkwise"?
