libproxy is an open-source library that provides functions to manage proxy configurations uniformly across applications and user sessions. libproxy should be linked to as it would ensure libcurl has access to the correct proxy at any time.

For more information, the libproxy website is http://libproxy.googlecode.com.

1. This is not a bug, it is a feature-request so I move it to the correct tracker

2. The discussion about this being used/implemented is taken on the curl-library list, and I am reluctant to add any particular support for it
