A load of more than 1 GB is not an issue, if you have a strong enough HW, where the below link may be of some assistance: http://curl-loader.sourceforge.net/high-load-hw/index.html Without any patching you can run two instances of curl-loader from two console terminals, where each will be loading via it's own network interface. It will work even better on PCs with more than a single CPU/core, and I would recommend to add a small patch of CPU-affinity to make each load CPU-independent.
