curl-loader on Solaris?

Hi all,

the FAQ mentions only Linux as a supported OS and the list archives
didn't indicate anyone trying to run curl-loader on Solaris. Before
i dig deeper in the sources, how are the chances of actually getting
curl-loader build and running on Solaris? Is it that Linux-specific
or is there a real chance it'll be running and give reasonable results?
