curl-loader 0.53 make error

hi
i was trying to build curl loader on my machine by remote login.. but it
gives me this error.. what can i do to fix it...

bash-3.2$ tar zxfv curl-loader-0.53.tar.bz2

gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors


please help.

use instead z j

tar jxfv curl-loader-0.53.tar.bz2

hi
i was able to figure that out. when i am running my conf file.. why am i not
able to see the output... the progress of the transfer. I want a log of
that.. I couldnt also ind the text file the output is supposed to be stored
in.

Thanks for helping, i was using the example conf files present in the
package.... the files are executed but there are no log files or txt files
or anything displayed on the terminal, i am using centos.
