I would like to see
- the possibilities of Netscape Communicator where a mail can be edited as new for both sent and received messages.
- choice between and log of mail protocols.
- enter protocol commands by hand.
- list of all message headers to select those that should be downloaded,
not only the new ones.
- view messages with/without deleting from the server.

I've always wanted to have a feature which would "bounce" an email. Basically it would look to the sender like the email address didn't exist. Good for getting rid of spammers. :)

Is it possible to fake the mailer daemon? As soon as the email is in your mail box you don't really have a chance. Or do you mean a response looking like 'unknown user'? But then, how will send the mail, what would be the sender address?

Another feature:
A mechanism how to manage the settings of different mail servers.
Should it be local or on a central curlMail server(no no no)? Any ideas how to do it intelligent? What about an server that stores settings anonymously? By typing the beginning of a mail servername curlMail looks up all the possible settings an suggests the best setting, like autocompletion.
